  I recently got home after an unexpected 19 days in the hospital and having my colon removed.

  I don’t usually talk publicly about my duel with Crohn’s disease, but this latest experience continues to be such a meteoric event in my life that I feel compelled for many reasons to say something about it now.

  Actually I want to say a lot about it, but it’s too much for one day and unfortunately I’m recovering a bit slower than expected. I am utterly depleted at the moment.

  So, I’m going to burrow away for a little longer now and heal. Please accept my apologies if I haven’t returned your email or call, I promise to get back to you as soon as I can.
